Drunk driver crashes, heads straight to dealership to attempt to sell broken car with missing tire

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Police say they arrested a driver who was 3.5 instances the authorized alcohol restrict after at the least five folks called 911.

Officers say the calls started coming in around 4:40 p.m. Monday.

They say witnesses reported seeing a SUV hit the median of the Lloyd Expressway near the Fundamental Avenue exit. They say the crash triggered a flat tire and the automobile to smoke, but the driver kept going.

Different callers say the driving force was all around the street and now missing a entrance tire.

They say he finally stopped at a automobile dealership and appeared “super drunk.”

Staff informed police the motive force, 30-year-old Jordon Mattingly, was trying to promote his SUV.

Police say he had swelling and scratches as if he had just been in a crash.

They say Mattingly smelled of alcohol and nearly fell a number of times. Officers say he examined .291 on a conveyable breath test.

Police say inside his SUV, they discovered Four Loko cans and a can of White Claw.

Mattingly is dealing with a number of expenses.

He is the son of the supervisor for the Miami Marlins and former skilled baseball player, Don Mattingly.
