A lady visiting Yellowstone National Park was gored by a bison and tossed into the air, park officials stated Tuesday.
The 25-year-old woman, who was visiting from Ohio, was not identified in a information launch from the park.
The woman approached the female bison Monday morning after it came near a boardwalk at Black Sand Basin, close to Outdated Faithful geyser, the park said.

Fuller / VWPics through AP Images filePark rules require guests to remain more than 25 yards from the animals, the biggest mammals in North America, which are unpredictable, can prime speeds of 35 mph and can soar several feet.
An estimated 2,300 to five,500 bison live at the park, and they have injured extra individuals than another animal, the park said.
When the customer got here inside 10 ft of the animal, the bison impaled her and "tossed" her 10 toes within the air, the park stated.
The lady had puncture wounds and different accidents and was taken to a hospital in Idaho, the service stated. Her condition was unknown Tuesday.
Two different folks have been also near the animal when it gored the lady, the park stated. The discharge didn’t say if they were injured.
The park warned people to stay 25 yards from bison, elk, bighorn sheep and moose and at least 100 yards from bears and wolves.
