Man arrested in connection with “school shooter” signs present in 3 New Hampshire communities

BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A man was arrested Friday after a number of indicators saying "faculty shooter" were found in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Department of Security announced. Man Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces multiple charges. 

An increased amount of police officers were placed at faculties within the communities on account of the signs. Multiple faculties initiated lockdowns as a precaution shortly after.

Hanson allegedly positioned the signs across the communities, the Division of Safety mentioned, however they decided there isn't any credible menace right now.

One such signal was written on a paper plate. The protection division released a photo of the plate however blurred part of it "to protect the integrity of the investigation." 

Hanson was arrested on a felony cost of prison threatening and three misdemeanor prices including false report back to regulation enforcement, false public alarm and felony threatening. He's being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a listening to scheduled for Tuesday.

No other suspects have been charged at the moment.
