A California district attorney declined to file charges Tuesday towards former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson after he was recorded on video in a bodily altercation with one other passenger on a JetBlue flight.

San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe made the decision after having reviewed police experiences and videos of the April 20 incident. Each the passenger, who has not been recognized, and Tyson requested that no expenses be filed.

"Yesterday afternoon the San Mateo County District Lawyer’s Office concluded its evaluation of the case involving Mike Tyson on the San Francisco Airport on April 20, 2022 and the allegation that he dedicated a misdemeanor battery in opposition to another passenger on an airplane whereas waiting at the terminal previous to departure," Wagstaffe said in an announcement.
