Teen arrested after mother noticed son had gun at Texas college drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Grey Information) - Several businesses responded to a middle college in Texas Friday morning after a teenager’s mom observed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock inform KCBD a mother was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle School around 9 a.m. when she observed the firearm. The teen never made it inside the constructing, and he ran from the varsity.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the world together with a number of different companies in an try to search out him.
The teenager was discovered near the college’s campus and taken into custody.
Authorities stated the 15-year-old could possibly be dealing with a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no risk made to the college or anybody inside the school.
O.L. Slaton Middle College was briefly placed on lockout on account of the incident.
