Tesla pays travel costs for workers searching for abortion services

Tesla is covering journey prices for employees searching for out-of-state abortions, joining the ranks of major firms who’ve launched a similar policy to profit staff affected by new restrictions previously few months.

The company stated in its 2021 “ Influence Report ” launched Friday that it expanded its Safety Internet program and medical insurance offerings last 12 months to incorporate “journey and lodging support for those who might have to seek healthcare providers which might be unavailable in their residence state.”

CEO Elon Musk didn't immediately reply to a request for comment, but he tweeted in September that he believes “government should rarely impose its will upon the people, and, when doing so, ought to aspire to maximise their cumulative happiness.
