Teen arrested after mom noticed son had gun at Texas school drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Grey News) - A number of businesses responded to a middle college in Texas Friday morning after an adolescent’s mom observed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock inform KCBD a mother was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle Faculty around 9 a.m. when she seen the firearm. The teenager never made it inside the constructing, and he ran from the college.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the realm along with a number of different companies in an attempt to seek out him.
The teenager was discovered close to the varsity’s campus and brought into custody.
Authorities said the 15-year-old could be facing a felony weapons cost.
Police say there was no threat made to the college or anyone inside the varsity.
O.L. Slaton Center School was briefly placed on lockout on account of the incident.
