Teen arrested after mom observed son had gun at Texas school drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Gray News) - A number of companies responded to a middle school in Texas Friday morning after an adolescent’s mom observed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock tell KCBD a mother was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Center Faculty around 9 a.m. when she seen the firearm. The teenager by no means made it contained in the constructing, and he ran from the college.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the area along with a number of other companies in an attempt to find him.
The teen was found near the school’s campus and taken into custody.
Authorities mentioned the 15-year-old could be going through a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no menace made to the varsity or anyone inside the varsity.
O.L. Slaton Center College was briefly positioned on lockout as a result of the incident.
