Teen arrested after mother observed son had gun at Texas school drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Gray Information) - Several companies responded to a center college in Texas Friday morning after a teenager’s mother noticed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock tell KCBD a mother was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle College around 9 a.m. when she seen the firearm. The teen never made it inside the building, and he ran from the school.
The Lubbock Police Department responded to the realm together with a number of other businesses in an attempt to seek out him.
The teen was found near the varsity’s campus and taken into custody.
Authorities said the 15-year-old might be facing a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no risk made to the varsity or anybody inside the college.
O.L. Slaton Center School was briefly positioned on lockout on account of the incident.
