Afghanistan’s supreme chief and Taliban chief on Saturday ordered the country’s women to put on the all-covering burqa in public - one of the harshest controls imposed on women’s lives because the Taliban seized energy.
“They should wear a chadori (head-to-toe burqa) as it is conventional and respectful,” mentioned a decree issued by Hibatullah Akhundzada that was launched by Taliban authorities at a perform in Kabul.
“These girls who aren't too old or young should cover their face, besides the eyes, as per sharia directives, so as to keep away from provocation when meeting men who aren't mahram (adult shut male relations),” the decree mentioned.
It added that if women had no vital work outdoors it was “better they keep at home.”
Throughout their first regime between 1996 and 2001, the Taliban imposed similar restrictions on girls.
