BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A person was arrested Friday after multiple signs saying "faculty shooter" have been found in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Department of Safety announced. Guy Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces multiple costs.

An elevated quantity of police officers had been placed at schools within the communities because of the indicators. Multiple colleges initiated lockdowns as a precaution shortly after.

Hanson allegedly positioned the indicators around the communities, the Division of Security said, but they decided there is no such thing as a credible threat at this time.

One such sign was written on a paper plate. The safety division released a photo of the plate but blurred a part of it "to protect the integrity of the investigation." 

Hanson was arrested on a felony cost of felony threatening and three misdemeanor prices including false report back to regulation enforcement, false public alarm and criminal threatening. He's being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a listening to scheduled for Tuesday.

No different suspects have been charged right now.
