Talking within the dugout of the Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Ohio, Kapler stated, "I don't plan on coming out for the anthem going forward until I feel better concerning the direction of our country."

In a blog submit, Kapler questioned whether or not the nation's management is dedicated to representing its individuals's finest interests and whether or not america is really "the land of the free and the home of the brave."

"We weren't given bravery, and we aren't free. The police on the scene put a mom in handcuffs as she begged them to go in and save her kids. They blocked mother and father trying to organize to charge in to cease the shooter, including a father who realized his daughter was murdered whereas he argued with the cops. We aren't free when politicians determine that the lobbyist and gun industries are more important than our children's freedom to go to school without needing bulletproof backpacks and lively shooter drills," Kapler wrote.

Later, Kapler wrote about his disillusionment with what he called "the lack of supply of the promise of what our national anthem represents."

"I'm not okay with the state of this country. I wish I hadn't let my discomfort compromise my integrity. I want that I may have demonstrated what I discovered from my dad, that if you're dissatisfied together with your nation, you let it be recognized through protest. The home of the brave should encourage this."

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr made an impassioned plea to take stronger motion against gun violence in the USA.

Kerr refused to talk about basketball ahead of Sport 4 of the Warriors' collection against the Dallas Mavericks, instead raising his voice as he railed towards gun violence in the wake of Tuesday's taking pictures.

"In the last 10 days, we have had elderly Black folks killed in a grocery store in Buffalo, we've had Asian churchgoers killed in Southern California, now we've youngsters murdered at school," Kerr informed reporters at the beginning of the press convention.

"When are we going to do one thing? I'm tired. I am so tired of getting up right here and offering condolences to the devastated households which can be out there ... I'm uninterested in the moments of silence. Enough."
