Federal brokers entered Uvalde faculty to kill gunman despite native police initially asking them to wait

Federal agents who went to Robb Elementary College in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday to confront a gunman who killed 19 kids had been informed by local police to attend and never enter the school — after which decided after about half an hour to ignore that initial steering and find the shooter, say two senior federal regulation enforcement officers.

In response to the officers, agents from BORTAC, the Customs and Border Protection tactical unit, and ICE's Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) arrived on the scene between midday and 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Native legislation enforcement requested them to attend, and then instructed HSI agents to assist pull children out of the home windows.
