EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Police say they arrested a driver who was 3.5 instances the authorized alcohol limit after at least 5 people known as 911.
Officers say the calls started coming in round 4:40 p.m. Monday.
They are saying witnesses reported seeing a SUV hit the median of the Lloyd Expressway near the Foremost Avenue exit. They say the crash brought about a flat tire and the car to smoke, however the driver stored going.
Other callers say the motive force was all over the highway and now missing a front tire.
They are saying he eventually stopped at a automobile dealership and appeared “super drunk.”
Workers instructed police the driving force, 30-year-old Jordon Mattingly, was attempting to promote his SUV.
Police say he had swelling and scratches as if he had simply been in a crash.
They are saying Mattingly smelled of alcohol and almost fell several occasions. Officers say he tested .291 on a portable breath test.
Police say inside his SUV, they found Four Loko cans and a can of White Claw.
Mattingly is going through several costs.
He's the son of the manager for the Miami Marlins and former professional baseball player, Don Mattingly.
