CINCINNATI, Ohio -- The parents of a 6-year-old marathoner are speaking out after they say child protective providers paid their household an unannounced go to and questioned their children at house.
Ben and Kami Crawford shared a photograph on Instagram Sunday purportedly of considered one of their kids being interviewed by a CPS staffer. In the accompanying caption, they wrote partly, "Yesterday Child Protecting Services (CPS) arrived at our house unannounced and interviewed our youngsters, mother and father & grandmother. The Crawfords made headlines final week after they let their kids, including their son Rainier, 6, run the Flying Pig Marathon in Cincinnati on Could 1 and shared it online. Ben and Kami Crawford addressed critics' accusations in a prolonged Instagram video Saturday.
"The actual stuff that we received accused of was dragging Rainier, like physically dragging him on the marathon course after mile 13 and throughout the end line," Ben Crawford stated.
"When you guys have seen our end line picture, we all held fingers for just like the last most likely, like, .2, .3 miles," he added. "We talked about it forward of time, like that is what we will do."
