As the Covid state of affairs has improved, several companies have already called their employees to office, ending the make money working from home (WFH).
However, it seems some employees want to earn a living from home further. Not too long ago, hundreds of employees have resigned when an organization requested them to come to the office.
Over 800 WhiteHat Jr employees have resigned from the youngsters on-line coding learning edtech start-up within the final two months after being asked to work from office.
This comes after WhiteHat Jr, a platform which was acquired by BYJU’S in 2020, asked its employees to return to workplace within a month’s time, based on an Inc42 report.
On March 18, the corporate introduced the policy to end do business from home and requested remote staff to return to workplace by April 18.
The resignations came from full-time workers of the gross sales, coding, and math teams. Extra employees are expected to put down their papers in the coming months.
One of the employees who resigned instructed the website that a month’s time was not enough for relocation. “Some have youngsters, some have aged and sick dad and mom, while others have other obligations. It is not right to call again staff in such a short period of time,” the former WhiteHat Jr worker stated.
Another employee stated salaries also factored in the decision to not return to the workplace. On the time of hiring, staff have been informed about their job location – WhiteHat Jr has workplaces in Gurugram, Mumbai and Bengaluru. Nevertheless, after working from dwelling for two years, workers believed that their salaries must be revised to mirror the cost of dwelling in costly cities.
“This was a well-planned and managed layoff that WhiteHat Jr did,” a former worker remarked.
